GoodHealth Commons is a unique center, where integrative care choices for your health are available, in one convenient location. Each practitioner at the center specializes in specific approaches to health and are independent partners of Seton Williamson who have come together to deliver the highest quality of care possible. We can work together with other practitioners or physicians to create a personalized program for you.
Oriental Medicine
The Academy of Oriental Medicine at Austin (AOMA) is a nationally accredited school of acupuncture and Oriental medicine. At Seton’s GoodHealth Commons, AOMA’s highly trained practitioners specialize in specific areas including allergies and asthma, motor impairment, autoimmune diseases, pain management, and pediatrics.
Nutrition Services
Proper and balanced nutrition can benefit everyone. Healthy diets help children grow and develop, and enable people of all ages to be productive and feel their best. What people eat can also help reduce the risk for chronic diseases and reduce the risk of obesity, high blood pressure, and high blood cholesterol, which increase the risk of disease. Nutritional needs change throughout the life cycle, varying based on age, sex, reproductive status, activity level, and overall health.
Spiritual Health and Massage
The Seton Cove Spirituality Center offers people of all faiths the opportunity to nourish and foster their journey towards wholeness. Through a variety of seminars, classes and events led by a multidisciplinary faculty, Seton Cove is a place apart, a refuge to deepen one’s spiritual practice. The Seton Cove also offers massage therapy at GoodHealth Commons.
Natural Cooking
Learning to make beautiful, delicious, health supportive food can be fun and easy. The Natural Epicurean Academy of Culinary Arts offers informative seminars and cooking classes that educate and empower students to improve their health through better nutrition choices.
Diabetes Education
From showing how to monitor blood sugar and how to reduce stress, to setting goals for improved diet and exercise, the Seton Diabetes Education Center offers comprehensive education and support services for people diagnosed with diabetes. The program teaches how to avoid complications of diabetes and how to deal with them if they do occur. Support groups are available for the patient and family, as well as individual counseling for patients with special needs.
